By Jessica Gray

Among the most lovable and popular pets across the globe are the dogs. In fact, a lot of people love them because of their sweet tempered traits. Aside from that, these breeds are also affectionate, intelligent, easy to train, and loving. Dogs are amazing pets because of they are fun, playful, and compassionate. Getting a new pet gives you and the entire family a limitless love you never expect.

But always remember that having a pet is a lifetime responsibility. Once you have decided to get a pet as an additional family member, there are different breeds to select which families can choose. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniels is one of those breeds that people are in love with. It is becoming one of the popular breeds because of their beautiful and big eyes.

The good thing is that they like to be with people as much as possible and hate to be left alone for a long period of time. They also make an excellent companion for retired, yet active seniors who love to walk them every day and have a loan for running. Their energy level, temperament, and trainability also make them a great choice for the first time pet owners.

Spaniels are often called as sporting breed toys due to the combination of their spaniel and toy traits. Though they love cuddling and a sweet tempered breed, they mostly have athletic instincts. Indeed, they are good runners and chasers. A fenced loan is also necessary because they love pursuing other animals and even butterflies into the streets.

Like other dog breeds, Spaniels also need a regular exercise. Of course, they need it for their health. On the other hand, these breeds are also people oriented. They usually get frustrated when left alone, this, having a companionship, either humans or pets is highly recommended. When left alone, they tend to bark all the time and even chew your sofa bed or soft pillows destructively.

Fortunately, they can go along with animals and even polite to humans. However like other dogs, they also lack courage. Therefore, as early as they can, you need a lot of socialization activities for them to build confidence and outgoing dispositions. When you love those traits, then a spaniel puppy is right for you.

However, if you do not want puppies with separation anxiety, timidity, shyness, orb lots of shedding, then never attempt to own one. Typically, you can avoid or even minimize some negative features of dogs by selecting the right breeder and a good puppy. If you prefer to acquire one from an animal shelter, it would be best to select an adult dog that does not dominate negative traits at all.

It is always crucial to give them the training they need so they will respect you. One big problem with cavaliers nowadays is their health. The common health issues may include skin allergies, ear infections, and even heart failure, all of which are entitled to an insurance benefit.

If you are searching for charming companions in this community, you should consider Cavaliers. This is because they are easy to training and affectionate. Although raising one is not an easy job, but with dedication and commitment, you can surely raise a good dog in the future.
