By Catherine Schmidt

Perfection is not something that comes easy. If you want to do anything to perfection, you need to master the art, do a lot of practice, and be patient. The same case applies to Screen Printing Denver; even those who are skilled in this art will find that at times they have made some mistakes.

There are some mistakes in screen printing that should not be assumed. This is my because they could cause severe damage to the identity of the brand especially when they are not pointed out in time. However light as it seems, this could cause huge financial loss. Therefore, below are some of the common errors made by printers that should be avoided at all cost.

Using too much ink is one of the things that you should watch out for. This could be because of either using a lot of product on the commodity or even that the ink is too thinned you. That is the reason that it is advisable for you to test the ink on a few test sheets so that you can be sure of the quality. If you find it is too much, then you need to use less pressure when doing a print.

Too little ink is also another matter of concern. You should try printing on a soft base. If you are printing of seams and collars, try using plate covered in a neoprene fabric. Additionally, it could be that the scene you are using s clogged. If this is the case, rub the underside using a wet towel and then you screen test paint or two to help it clear out.

Before you start out the prints, you should ensure the client has signed and approve the final design. It will be frustrating to redo the entire print out because you misspelled a word. When doing the print ensure you use the right colors and mesh so that you can avoid art problems.

The other mistake that people do is not to take the time to master the squeegee angle mastering of the position of the squeegee takes practice and experiment. Once you have found the right angle, strive to be consistent. The strokes that you use are also essential. Since there are two types the push and pull, whichever you decide to use, stick with it and do not change between the strokes. If inconsistent, you will have a work that is poorly done.

The other thing you need to contemplate about is the bad registration. If you do not have it tightened screen, then the plate might move. Therefore you need to turn the screw and ensure that it is tight. If it is lost, the screen might be loose in the bracket of the press. At the same time, ensure that the plate has enough adhesive to stop the shirt from moving.

Be very vigilant and look out for the above errors as they should not occur when you are copying. Printing can sometimes prove to be challenging, but it is only through practice that you will be perfect. On attaining perfection, you will be able to carry out copying jobs more easily.
