There are very many such theaters that are spread all across New York City. These theaters produce all sorts of performances, including kid drama, comedy, plays, music and other forms of entertainments. This therefore means that you can never lack something to enjoy yourself with, at these dramas. Always seeing Manhattan shows can be a bit monotonous, so trying new experiences with Off Broadway is a prudent idea.

The first question many people ask is what factors are actually considered for a theater to be considered of such a class. It should be noted that the whole of Manhattan has a total of averagely forty theaters regarded as Manhattan. The most singular consideration for a theater is its size. These theaters ideally, must be averagely under five hundred seats.

Unknown to quite a number of people, Manhattan theaters actually stand a chance of being on great white way. The location is absolutely not a factor. It should be remembered that there are many highly regarded such centers that are based at the Theater district, for example The Second Stage Theater. Snapple Theater Company, home of the ever intriguing The Fantasticks show, is located just off Great White way corner, 50th Street.

There are many reasons why you should see any show off-Broadway. Majority of the Pulitzer award winners, of recent past, for example Next to normal, disgraced, etc., were initially seen on these theaters. Musical megahits are not left behind also, with super hits like In the Heights and Avenue Q being first aired on such a platform. Additionally, many of these theater corporations usually produce scarcely-seen revivals, especially of traditional forgotten plays. Other companies major on original and innovative projects, which are deemed relatively non-commercial for Manhattan.

Besides, by choosing off-Manhattan, you will have an opportunity to see some of your favorite stars, the likes of Mary Parker, Dinner Wiest and many others. Not only will you see these already-established celebrities, but also other upcoming actors that are on their way to glory.

Off-Broadways also have another advantage of being relatively inexpensive, in comparison to other theaters. Small companies charge considerably low, as a way of marketing themselves. From as low as 10 dollars, you can get to see your favorite plays and famous stars at any Manhattan center in New York City.

This is however not to mean that it is it exponentially simple to get a ticket to these shows. Established ones charge at highs of even eighty dollars per show, during special circumstances. Additionally, ensure you get your ticket early, since they quickly get depleted. They can be purchased via discount websites, Box Office, amongst other alternatives. Manhattan shows are not a very bad idea, and so the next time you are thinking about going to theater, you might want to give it a try.
