How Perception And Choices Lie Side By Side- A Course In Miracle?

By Alex D White

Perception and choices made are definitely interconnected to each other, as stated in A Course in Miracles. For an instance, we do perceive error, there is definitely a tendency to continue choosing error through our decisions and this leads to making the error more real.

It is us who makes a choice or makes a perception, then it is us who make a judgement on the end results and then we start judging the results if they are real as well, we are the source. And lastly, after getting through all this we get back to the same thing of making perceptions and making choices.

Even people with spiritual understanding are found to go through several books that denote the presence of God, such as the Bible, the Bhagwad Gita, couple of Upanishads, The Quran and even the poetries written by Kabir and Rumi. However not any of the Books can comply with the greatness of the book A Course in Miracles.

There are simple perceptions that are created by individuals to keep a check on the thoughts of the individuals that are not capable of thinking for them. They do it in order to control their actions and emotions and manipulate them accordingly. ACIM focuses on the promotion of one thing only, which is love and also suggest that being innocent and thinking spiritually will not allow the evil to exist.

This thought simply arises because you are trying to choose between the wrong sides of our mind. The right mind of the Holy Spirit is neither found in the 'right side' and the 'wrong side' of Ego. For example, you have decided to do something that is worth it, it shall be done or it would be. You must stop thinking about it again and again turning them to Holy Spirit for correction instead.

It doesn't matter if you belong to any other religion, even if the religious teachings are not able to provide you with proper satisfaction about knowing and loving God. However, if you are afraid to go through the Course because you feel others might claim that it doesn't comply with what Christianity states.

Once you have made a new choice or perceived the effects or consequences, it becomes another layer which leads to error. This simply means, with every move you make about choosing or perceiving about things happening around the world, you choose to believe the ego about it also it leads to more errors again and again. As consecutive effects get together you start believing in the error so occurred.

In order to avoid unsettling choice to one of the illusion is to use the observational power and choose differently. In case you are looking for a judgement which is against the ego, you have an appropriate choice to make; you can choose to change your decision in the favour of the Holy Spirit. If you can harness this, it has enormous power to do miracles as mentioned in A Course in Miracles.
