Discovering Inspirational Songs Imparting Peace And Harmony

What the world needs now is love sweet love, are often considered lyrics to live by. While this is the case, the world also needs inspirational songs imparting peace and harmony. For, while What The World Needs Now is a beautiful song, love alone is not often nearly enough. As such, in order to overcome the ongoing troubles and wars of the world, peace and love are equally important.

For, past and current music artists and lyrics have long played a role in promoting peace and love, unity and courage. In fact, many artists have fought long and hard for justice against violence and uprisings. Whether fighting for justice against established societal norms, or helping people to recognize the importance of freedom, many have done so through song writing and performance.

Songs like John Lennon's Imagine have no doubt played a part in creating a calmer and more peaceful world. In addition, the anti-war movement of the 60s and 70s gave birth to many folk musicians creating a plethora of work related to peace and love. While this is the case, there are still issues which need addressed in poems and song.

Whatever the cause, it is important that these singers and songwriters continue to provide the public with this music. While music often gets more radio play, there are also a number of artists, poets and writers working to promote peace in this troubled world. Whether artists, performance artists or poets, it is important to support the work of these individuals. For, many of these artists are often overlooked when it comes to arts and entertainment.

It is also essential that individuals interested in changing the world for the better become involved in community action and organizations. Whether community or politically based, working with people on the local level can often lead to global change. As such, the best way for a community to have an impact on the larger world is through the participation and work of those involved in local events.

Whether listening to a radio station, video channel or sites such as YouTube, there is music which can be gratifying, uplifting and at times, awe inspiring. For those whom can afford cable or satellite, there are often a number of full concerts and channels offering a number of different genres of music. Whereas, others can find this type music online, or through local radio stations and other media outlets.

In the 60s and 70s, groups which were great at spreading peace and harmony through songs of revolution and change included, The Beatles, Peter, Paul and Mary and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young among others. Whereas, today, songs such as John Lennon's Imagine still sits at the top of many charts when in comes to this type music.

When it comes to inspiring music which can promote peace and harmony, some is better than others. While this is the case, any music in which the intention is to create a more peaceful world is often worth checking out. After which, even if one does not necessarily enjoy the experience, it can often be good to share the work with others.
